The President provides overall leadership and direction for Hall Council. They lead weekly meetings, collaborate with Hall Council Mentors to develop meeting agendas, help establish goals for the organization, and ensure that members have opportunities to contribute. The President also serves as a primary representative and advocate for the La Paz residential community.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Encouraging participation and collaboration among members

• Helping coordinate Hall Council programs and initiatives

• Representing the interests and needs of La Paz residents

The Vice President supports the President in the leadership and operation of Hall Council. They assist with coordinating programs, tracking projects, and helping members complete assigned responsibilities. The Vice President leads meetings when the President is unavailable and works to keep the council organized and moving toward its goals.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Supporting the President and other Hall Council leaders

• Leading meetings when the President is unavailable

• Assisting with programs, projects, and community initiatives

• Helping members follow through on assigned responsibilities

• Promoting teamwork and participation within the council

• Assisting with other Hall Council needs as they arise

The Vice President of Communications oversees Hall Council’s communication, marketing, and outreach efforts. They help ensure that La Paz residents know about upcoming meetings, elections, programs, and other opportunities to become involved.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Promoting Hall Council meetings, programs, and initiatives

• Creating or coordinating flyers, social media posts, and other marketing materials

• Sharing announcements and updates with La Paz residents

• Recording and distributing meeting notes

• Maintaining organized records of Hall Council activities

• Supporting recruitment and outreach efforts

The La Paz House Representatives serve as liaisons between La Paz Hall Council and the Residence Hall Association, or RHA. Because La Paz is expected to have two representatives present at each RHA meeting, House Representatives must regularly attend these meetings and communicate relevant information between both organizations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Attending scheduled RHA meetings

• Ensuring La Paz has two representatives present at each meeting

• Taking clear and accurate notes during RHA meetings

• Sharing RHA announcements, opportunities, and updates with Hall Council

• Bringing La Paz questions, concerns, and ideas to RHA

• Serving as a consistent communication bridge between RHA and La Paz Hall Council

General Body membership is open to all La Paz residents. General Body members do not need to submit an application, campaign, or be elected to participate. Members may attend weekly meetings, share ideas, provide feedback, serve on committees, and help plan or implement Hall Council programs and initiatives.
